My Mom has struggled over a number of years to live independently with family help and outside care, then one day the situation changed that she was no longer safe we had to look for a better situation.

We have viewed numerous residential homes but none met our criteria of care and accommodation that we required for Mom,

Then one day I noticed Rosewood Residential Home, an old Home which had been sold and updated I rang and asked could we view the premises and talk to someone about our needs.

We arrived to view the premises and were very pleasantly surprised at the high standard of accommodation but the important requirement was the care and consideration for Mom. On discussing this with the manager she was confident that all Moms needs could be met, so the next step was for Mom to visit and see if it met her needs.

Mom visited and was impressed, she picked a room complete with en suite wet room and we undertook the move, this went extremely well with the owners accommodating all our needs to fit out Moms room with her furniture, the care plan was already in place so Mom was the only thing left to move.

Mom moved to Rosewood and was made very welcome all her needs are well catered for, her care, safety and wellbeing being a priority, the staff and management are excellent. My Moms quality and interest in life has improved greatly since the move.

Being a daughter who needs to know her Mom is being looked after I visit numerous times a week and cannot fault her care, I can sleep at night knowing she is safe and well looked after.

To me this has been a life saver move for my Mom and Rosewood is A LITTLE GEM.

My father became a resident early in September 2013 following a downturn in his health.  Following an exhaustive internet search, phone calls and visits I was fortunate to find a vacancy at Rosewood. This is a modern, superbly equipped and finished home, staffed by some of the most caring individuals I have met led by their manager, a consummate professional combined with a compassionate and caring manner.

My father settled in very quickly, to my surprise, and described his feelings as comfortable and safe. He has full access to a range of medical and personal services, sourced by the staff, and his health and well-being have improved significantly in a short time.

His room is en-suite (all are) and he is able to have his own furniture/belongings.  The communal rooms are bright, spacious and well furnished with residents able to choose between two lounges and sit in groups or individually rather than one large circle. The home is spotlessly clean and the staff very well trained and aware of the individual resident’s needs. This was far and away the best residential home I found after three weeks of research. I would recommend Rosewood without reservation.
